Welcome!

January 17, 2009

Since losing our first child at the end of my fifth month, my husband and I’ve discussed numerous ways to have something positive come out of Avery Corinne’s death.  We’ve thrown a lot of ideas around, from starting a non-profit, editing a compilation of poetry and stories, to doing a documentary.  All of which center around one main theme – grief.  For me, and I’m sure you’ll relate, I hurt each time someone tells me that it’s time to get over it!  I didn’t realize that grief has an expiration date.  Never have my journal entries been so long since October 29, 2006.  You know about that too, don’t you?  Or, how her memory box is full of letters that she’ll never receive?  You don’t think that’s crazy do you?  I didn’t think so.  You’ve been there.  You are there.  That’s why I’m here.
